Union Roastery is one of the many new outlets that have emerged at Citta Mall. Since the new complex management took over at Citta Mall, it has received a new lease of life. The move to focus on bringing F&B brands into the mall has drawn crowds from the surrounding area and beyond to it. The ease of parking makes this a good mall to have your meal or events at.
Union Roastery occupies one of the larger ground floor lots, and is probably one of the largest cafes in PJ. The capacity of the cafe is well over 100 people. So it’s a suitable space for organizing events too. You can find out more about doing events at Union Roastery here.
Since it was a weekday, it was Spaghetti for lunch and I decided to try their Spaghetti Aglio Alio or what they call “Smell In The Ocean”. I had previously tried the spaghetti here during the early weeks of the kitchen’s operation but found some issues with it, which I fed back to them. They told me that they had since fixed the issues, and invited me back to give it a try.
I wasn’t disappointed the second time around. The seafood that came with their spaghetti was fresh and there were good portions of mussels, prawns, and calamari. The spaghetti is done most people would like it. I thought it could use a bit more seasoning, but a dash of salt (they provide rock salt) fixed that easily.
Overall, I enjoyed the spaghetti the second time around. Smell In The Ocean costs RM21.90.
